Customer Satisfaction Index Across Various Layers of Market. 
MARCH Marketing Consultancy &Research, Hyderabad, has recently conducted an all India Customer Satisfaction Study for one of the Fortune-500 companies in the country.

The study dealt with a fast-moving product, and customer satisfaction was studied during a non-seasonality period.

The study looked into aspects related to:
  • Satisfaction levels of the customers with regard to purchase of the product.
  • Satisfaction levels of the customers with regard to the services of the client.
  • Identifying critical areas for immediate improvement.
The study covered a huge sample of 5200 respondents which included a wide segment range – from end-customer, retailer to distributor.

The sample was distributed over a vast geographic area, which included 34 states and, Union Territories covering around 300 towns. Data collection involved deployment of large manpower resources, and 560 interviewers were used.

The data was analyzed for different functional levels for all the product categories:
  • District Level.
  • State Level.
  • Zonal Level.
  • All India Level.
Moreover, user satisfaction across different customer levels, from the common man to industrial houses, was studied within a short span of two months.
